Carole Miller has painted her way into being the Passion Works featured artist of the month for April. Carole comes to Passion Works every other Monday and has for many years. Carole’s artwork has been featured on tiles, commissioned art and other fine art pieces. Carole is a pleasure to be around; she is full of wonderful stories and expresses them colorfully through her words and through her art. Carole is a true inspiration!
Our ‘Birds and Bees’ exhibition ends soon but come by and see what’s new in the windows. This exhibit features a lot of cool birds that were cut out on our new laser after being drawn by Passion Works artists who also painted awesome designs on them. Laser’d birds and other animals will also be a new product creating employment opportunities for people at ATCO. These opportunities should be in both painting and packaging.
CALL FOR ARTISTS! The Passion Works Studio Art Gallery is looking for artists or artist groups who may be interested in exhibiting in our high profile Uptown art gallery for six weeks at a time. Interested artists or groups will be invited to a Passion Works team meeting where they’ll have the chance to do a portfolio presentation as part of the selection process. To express interest or for more info please email wayne@passionworks.org.
Passion Works can now be found on Café Press where we can offer even more cool products with Passion Works art on them. At café press we offer things like note binders, flip flops and robes, things you won’t find in our store.
We now have a featured fan section in the Passion Works newsletter, our first featured fan was Ed Fisher, owner of the Purple Chop Stix , a fabulous restaurant for a tantalizing treat. Ed has been an ardent supporter and collector of Passion Works art since day one.
Passion Works keeps things moving with help of Ohio University. Our call for volunteers to help with the Disability Awareness Festival brought out over 25 volunteers from Hillel, Kappa Delta Pi and Tau Beta Sigma, the Alpha Delta Chapter. Thank you Volunteers!!!
We are about to begin a collaboration with the Athens County Humane Society as we make pet suitcase beds together. Friendly Paws, the Athens County Humane Society and Dr. Patricia Mickunas are donating materials; Passion Works is providing the artists. The sales of these pet bed suitcases will be divided between Passion Works and the Athens Humane Society.
Stop in and check out all the new things going in at Passion Works!!
