Transition Services
The ACBDD’s Transition Services program offers opportunities for young adults to prepare to make a smooth transition from high school to the community after graduation.
Transition to the community can include:
• Getting a job
• Apprenticeships, internships, training
• Adult education, college
• Volunteering
• Social engagement & more
Transition Coordinator can assist you by:
• Connecting you to work training
• Connecting you to volunteering
• Connecting you to education
• Connecting you to transportation services
• Connecting you to Teen Time
Teen Time:
Teen Time is a social club that is open to any teen/young adult age 13-21 who is an enrollee of the Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities (or who is eligible for services). Events happen monthly. To learn more, contact the Transition Coordinator or the Teen Time Coordinator. Their contact information is below.
