Job Posting: Substitute Custodial Worker
The ACBDD has an opening for a Substitute Custodial Worker. The starting hourly pay is $17.50; commensurate with qualifications. The Substitute Custodian will work, as needed, across the 3 ACBDD facilities (Beacon School, Harper St. SSA Office, and the Lavelle Rd. location).
Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years old
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
• Ability to safely operate common custodial equipment and tools
• Demonstrates the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks within established timeframes
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and others
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate appropriate professional conduct
• Ability to recognize and report safety hazards or facility concerns
• Ability to work effectively in a setting serving individuals with developmental disabilities
• Demonstrates the ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment required to
perform assigned duties
Duties:
• Maintains a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.
• Follows established custodial procedures and safety requirements.
• Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and flexibility.
• Maintains respectful and professional interactions with individuals served, employees, visitors, and
community members.
• Protects confidential information encountered while performing assigned duties.
• Promptly communicates concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Performs light maintenance as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
