Job Posting: Bus/Van Driver (Vehicle Operator I/III)

The ACBDD has an opening for a Bus/Van Driver (Vehicle Operator I/III) for Beacon School. This position is located at 9033 Lavelle Road in Athens. The minimum hourly pay is $17; commensurate with qualifications. This is a position for the academic year, 25 hours/week, with the possibility of additional opportunities during breaks. • Must be 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, have ability to use whole numbers, read & write. Must possess a Class B CDL with school bus, passenger, and air brake endorsements.
• 2 years driving experience, minimum. Knowledge of Ohio driving rules/regulations; drive/safety practices, operation of passenger bus/motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift, carry, move, load and secure individuals safely. Lift/move safely 75-100 lbs.
• Must demonstrate ability to use radio equipment. Ability to carry out instructions (written, oral, picture).
• Valid license with good driving record.

• Operates passenger bus to transport up to 84 passengers (e.g., students and adults) to & from programs/services for various activities (e.g., athletic activities, educational programs & functions, training programs, field trips, chartered events, other miscellaneous activities).
• Inspects, services & maintains vehicles; prepares mileage, fuel, passenger & related reports.
• Operates automobiles, mini-bus, small passenger bus to transport individuals.
• Maintains accurate records for transportation purposes.
• Perform other transportation duties as assigned.
