Join us for the Athens County Youth Summit

Second annual Athens County Youth Summit on June 4 to focus on community collaboration

The second annual Athens County Youth Summit, organized by the Athens County Family & Children First Council in partnership with Athens City School District, Athens County Children Services, Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and Athens County Probate and Juvenile Court, will bring together professionals, educators, community leaders, and advocates to address the complex challenges facing youth in today’s communities.

“The summit will serve as a collaborative forum for sharing knowledge, strengthening partnerships, and exploring practical solutions that support the well-being and long-term success of young people throughout the county,” said Amy Jenkins, the Athens County Family & Children First Council Administrator and member of the event’s planning committee.

The Athens County Youth Summit will be on Thursday, June 4, at the Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities (801 W. Union Street, Athens, Ohio 45701).

Key focus areas will include mental health, trauma, substance use, disability supports, and other critical issues impacting youth and families. Through presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experts and connect with organizations working to improve outcomes for youth.

Summit organizers say the event is designed to encourage meaningful collaboration and build stronger systems of support across Athens County and surrounding communities.

This event is open to anyone with an interest in learning about these topics. Registration is free, and breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The Athens County Youth Summit reflects a shared commitment to creating healthier, safer, and more supportive environments where all youth can thrive.
