Job Posting: Assistant Custodial Worker – Part-time

The ACBDD has an opening for a part-time Assistant Custodial Worker. This position comes with an excellent benefits package, including comprehensive health and life insurance, generous paid time off, and participation in OH Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS)

Wage: Minimum of $11.50 per hour starting rate
Benefits: OPERS participation, vacation, personal and sick leave.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm; times subject to change due to weather and facility needs

Qualifications:
• Preference in selection will be given to individuals eligible for ACBDD services
• Must be 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalency
• Ability to read, count, and learn to operate cleaning equipment
• Must be able to lift and move safely 25-75 lbs.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn custodial safety practices

Job Duties:
Assists the Custodial Worker(s) and Lead Custodial Worker with general cleaning and maintenance of the buildings:
• Assists daily with sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming carpets, washing walls; cleaning and dusting furniture; cleaning restrooms; cleaning glass & mirrors; cleaning & emptying trash receptacles.
• Periodically as needed assists with removing & hanging drapes; removing snow & ice from walkways & drives.
• As needed assists with reporting need for equipment repair, evidence of fire, illegal entry & theft of property.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
