Beacon Pre-School
Pre-school is an integrated program serving children three and four years of age. Children residing in Athens County’s school districts with identified developmental disabilities and typically developing can be referred.
Each identified student enrolled has an individual education plan (IEP) designed to promote optimum growth in the areas of gross/fine motor skills, language, social, cognitive and self-help skills.
Parent are invited, and encouraged, to participate in any and all activities.
The Pre-school class creates and atmosphere to foster pre-academics, art, music and group activities to meet the individual educational goals and objectives of children with developmental disabilities and/or delays. To enhance the performance, physical therapy and speech therapy techniques are integrated into developmentally appropriate activities
