Beacon School-Age
Beacon is an educational service provider for five local school districts in Athens County. Students are referred to Beacon School by their local school districts' which completes the Evaluation Team Report documenting the child's disability/deficits and identifies that the ACBMRDD can provide specialized educational services in the least restrictive environment for the child. The child's local school district completes the Evaluation Team Report prior to their enrollment at Beacon School with re-evaluation every three years. Individualized Education Plans (IEP) are written annually by an Interdisciplinary Team of Professional (IDT), based on the child's present levels of performance. The parents provide their vision for the child's future which assists the IDT in their goal planning for the child.
