2018 Developmental Disability Awareness Festival

Developmental Disability Awareness Month is once again coming up in March, and we are very excited to share this year’s theme – Celebrate CommUNITY! In honor of this month, the Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities is hosting its annual Developmental Disabilities Awareness Festival on March 20th, at the Athens Community Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is one of our favorite nights of the year!

Last year, we had an amazing turnout. This year, we hope to make it the best one yet.

This is a great opportunity to meet, learn about, and celebrate the wonderful network of agencies and providers supporting people with disabilities in Athens County.

Come help us Celebrate CommUNITY!!

This event is free and open to the public. Our purpose is to promote the capabilities of individuals with disabilities in our community.

We are changing the format this year to focus exclusively on our community partners. We would like to have representatives from area schools, disability rights advocates, businesses, organizations that work with and assist individuals with disabilities, and any other groups or individuals that would like to share how they advocate for adults and/or children with disabilities in Southeast Ohio.

If you or your organization would like to participate, please RSVP to Mark Cullison by March 13, 2018.
